Social Component Investments

Social Component Investments (SCIs) allocate part of their profits either directly or indirectly to social beneficiaries. Since SCIs are not directly aligned with our mission, we evaluate opportunities in this space opportunistically. Given a choice between SCIs and non-SCIs, we prefer SCIs. When appropriate, we like to leverage our philanthropic activities with the principals and investors involved in SCIs.
