Impact Investing Strategy
Portfolio Overview
Currently, Impact Investments comprise more than 69% of the KL Felicitas Foundation’s total investment portfolio.
Impact investments consist of the Foundation’s five investment categories:
- Program Related Investments (PRI)
- Mission Related Investments (MRI)
- Sustainability Investments (SUI)
- Social Component Investments (SCI)
- Corpus Impact First Investments (CIF)
Since 2006, the Foundation has steadily increased the number of Impact Investments in its portfolio. The Foundation plans to have more than 90% of its assets placed in various impact investments by 2013.
Grants are also an integral part of the Foundation’s impact investing strategy. Grants are typically made alongside investment support to early-stage enterprises that require some subsidy or capacity building assistance in preparation for scaling social impact.
