Impact Investing Strategy
Impact Investing Portfolio 2006-2011
Since 2006, the KL Felicitas Foundation has steadily allocated an increasing portion of its portfolio to impact investments. By 2013, the Foundation projects that it will have 92% of its entire portfolio dedicated to impact investments.
The charts to the right illustrate the growth of impact investing within the corpus of KL Felicitas between 2006 and Q2 2011.
Prior to implementing its impact investing strategy in 2006, the Foundation placed approximately a third of its assets in socially responsible investments (SRI) with the balance in traditional investments. In 2006, the Foundation adopted an innovative investment strategy and began placing assets into PRIs, MRIs, SUIs and SCIs.
Based on the success of these investments, the Foundation placed its first Corpus First Impact Investment (CIF), in Q3 2010. This investment is a PRI that is a part of the Foundation’s corpus, rather than a part of its annual 5% payout.
